Inclement Weather Information

When our region is experiencing inclement weather, I will work closely with our transportation department to determine whether a school delay or closure is necessary. We will do our best to make this determination as early as possible and by 5:30 a.m. at the latest. Once a decision is made to delay or close school, I will send a phone and email message to all families via School Messenger. The School Messenger communication can take up to 45 minutes to complete a cycle causing some families to receive a message earlier than others. This message will also go out to media outlets as well. Please note that a communication is not typically sent out if school will be held as normal.

This year will be the first year where we will possibly have delays while utilizing a staggered start school schedule. As in past years, if a delay is necessary Monday - Thursday, all schools will open two hours later than the normal daily start times and buses will run approximately two hours later than regular schedules as well. If a delay is necessary on a late start Friday, we will run one hour later than the normal daily schedule (buses and school start times). If the weather warrants a closure, that announcement will be made as soon as possible on the morning the closure will occur.
